Crumbling Earth Cavern
Originally very grand, carved into large halls and buildings, the Crumbling Earth Caverns is nothing more than a partially collapsed cave that houses an ancient artifact. This cave was once home to the entire Crumbling Earth Clan and once spanned down to the North end of Janton, which is now only accessible through the Earthern Caverns.
Only a quarter of the size it used to be due to a massive scale attack by the Stalker Clan during the Warring Age. The Fairy Forest was once home to the Light Fairies of Hyperion known as the Keeper's of the Forest, which was also Hyperion's primary Shaman Clan. The attack from the Stalker Clan, however, forced the fairies to due something drastic. The general belief is that the Light Fairies were destroyed in the attack as no one has seen a Light Fairy since that day, at least within the Fairy Forest. However, there are few who know the truth. Perhaps the forest still holds some secrets yet to be discovered?
A seemingly small, secluded and hand-dug cavern, this cave is cruical for those seeking to perform the Cleansing Ritual. Deep within the cave is the resting place of all the High Summoner's that have given their life for the Cleansing Ritual and with them, the High Summoner's Staff, which is used during the Ritual to house the Fairy Orb.
Home of the Riptide Clan and a major Imperial base known as the Sunken Armory as well as the home to Leviathan's Shrine. The Riptide Clan, master manipulators of water, live within a cave just inside the small mountain range that encloses the lagoon. The Imperial base, befitting the name, is deep beneath the surface of the lagoon's water. Atop the base rests a security system which connects not only to the access points of the base, but also to the bridges which grant access to Leviathan's Shrine.
The Mainland was Drachell's largest territory until the Cleansing Ritual began. That's when a large portion of Abardean was sealed within the Fay Barrier. The Mainland is home to 3 major Imperial outposts and 2 Elemental Lord Shrines along with other smaller areas.
Drachell - The Mainland
"The Jewel of the Empire within Drachell". "The biggest town in Drachell". "The Heart of the Province". This town has many names and all of them ring true. Before the Empire came to settle within Drachell, it was nothing more than some small settlements, scattered about with the Shaman Clans have their camps almost everywhere. Now, since the development of such a large city, the province has chosen to settle down there a bit more. The development of this town also sparked the creation of other settlements such as Chenzira and Crix-Cilus. It was within this towns confines that the Imperial Castle was built and King Sleemon resides. While the King does reside within the castle, this is not the major center of military activity for the Empire.
A small villa rests on the edge of the river that divides the Main Land from the rest of the landmasses within the provinces. Here, the Empire has set up a single, extremely talented man to build and design all of their basic sea travel crafts. He also has a knack for designing smaller, more maneuverable boats that he often takes on fishing trips throughout the province.
Once connected to the Crumbling Earth Cavern, the Earthen Caverns are a long set of caves that lead from the Main Land up into the mountainside to Janton, the Fortress of Elemental Lord Gigas. What few Crumbling Earth Shaman that remain are said to reside within here. Within the caverns are large streams of pristine water, which were carved through the mountainside by Lord Leviathan. However, these streams aren't entirely friendly to hopeful travelers who may need to seek assistance when attempting to make it through to Janton due to massive geysers that have blown through some of the bridges.
Known only to the Imperial Military, much like the Sunken Armory, is a high-tech research facility found near the river on the East side of the Main Land. Poorly named, this Armory is rather out in the open, at least as of now, for anyone to see. Over the years, research and development at the base has caused them to remove a large portion of the trees that were responsible for the natural cover that the base once had. This is considered the Imperial Military's main base of operations.
