Crescent Mountain is aptly named due not only to the Reflected Moon Clan making this land its home, but also due to the shape of the mountain range that spans along its western edges. This area is home to an Imperial mine, two Elemental Lord Shrines, one Beastmen Tribe and the infamous Chenzira, home to the greatest inventory in Drachell.
Drachell - Crescent Mountain
Lunar Valley is perhaps one of the most odd areas in all of Drachell. Within this Valley the moon is most visible in all of Drachell, which made it easy for the Reflect Moon Clan devise a defense system to their lands. Creating several obelisks and a basic wooden bridge, they would enchant the Valley to function based off of the phase of the moon. The phase of the moon controls a bridge that, while the tide is high, prevents access to the switchs that unlock the bridge into Shadow Valley.
Shadow Valley rests on the innermost side of the mountain and was created by the Shadowsoul Clan in conjunction with the Reflected Moon Clan as a last layer of defense for their shared lands. While not gated by the moon, Shadow Valley instead implores literal gates that are etheral, blocking everything within the Mortal and Doomvoid Realms, will not truly existing in either, which prevents them from being destroyed. To open these indestrutible gates, one must press a Lunar Stone to the small crevas on its face. The Lunar Stone is a unique rock that can only be found in Lunar Valley. It absorbs moonlight for years and slowly develops that moonlight into a unique mineral called Lunarite. This mineral has never been mastered by metalsmiths, but is believed to be incredibly strong. This mineral reactswhen it comes into contact with the gates in Shadow Valley melting itself and the gate. Only the Reflected Moon Cland and the Shadowsoul Clan truly know the true magic behind the Lunar Stone...
The name says it all. The Mythril Mines opened when the Empire came to Drachell, much like Crovinale's Gold Mine. To this day, it remains open, providing the Empire with all the Mythril it can find. Without signs of slowing down, the Empire heavily relies on the resources recovered from this mine for its creations. Althought important to the Empire, doesn't have a camp near the mine, making it vulnerable now if the Brotherhood of Twilight figured out how to access Crescent Mountain withoutan airship.
Home of Drachell's second most prodominant, yet likely most powerful, Beastmen Tribe. The Shadowsoul Camp is found within the thick, tangled and overall grisly woods that are found in the area. Within this camp resides only a portion of the tribe. The Shadowsouls are dual-Realm beings, being able to exist in both the Mortal and Doomvoid Realms without any issues or restricts. With that said, many of them reside in the Doomvoid Realm out of preference.
Easily the largest Elemental Lord Shrine within Drachell and perhaps all of Valcarta. Hyperion used to command respect, at least a little, from all Shaman Clans during the Warring Age with his main clan being the Keepers of the Forest before compelling a large portion of the Reflected Moon Clan onto his side. Despite the Keepers of the Forest living over in the Fairy Forest on the Main Land, Hyperion's shrine was made by the Reflected Moon Clan over on Crescent Mountain. There is some speculation that the hidden areas of the Fairy Forest may hold yet another shrine to Hyperion, but this has never been confirmed. Unlike other Elemental Lords, Hyperion has an extensive set of trials within his shrine designed for any Champion he chooses to take. Apparently, this is the reason Hyperion has been able to develop such powerful Champions over the years.
Also known as the Town of Machines, Chenzira is the town that was constructed by Sertik, a young man whose brillance knows no bounds. Inventing all sorts of incredible machines, Sertik is only source of the Mechamail robot units that the Empire commands. Although he is currently employed by the Empire, he is not apart of it and is loyal only to those who deliver to him the most interesting pieces of... anything! He is strictly focused on advancing his knowledge and nothing else.
Chenzira is fairly solitary and doesn't get much in the way of guests aside from those who have taken a small trip from the Tigeress resort of Crix-Cilus from the Smoldering Sands.
Floating Island of Shu
Created in a desprate attempt from the Elemental Lord of Wind, Shu, to prove to his followers he was all power when Hyperion was attempting to 'steal' them from him. The large body of water that is now in the middle of the landmass that is Crescent Mountain used to be where said Island rests. Much of its mass was lost as Shu begin to lift it, some of which included the Reflect Moon Temple. Its ruins now rest underneath the water and it is rumored that a powerful artifact rests within, but no one has the means to retrieve it.
Shu was not impressed with those followers who had left him for Hyperion and chose only those he believed to be most loyal to him. Those followers remain on the island and are generally wary of any visitors.
The Island itself has three different regions. The mountain region, which is generally untouched by the Reflected Moon Shaman. This area is thought to be difficult to traverse. Although there is a strange house that rests in the middle of the area, no one is known to inhabit it nor are any of the Reflected Moon Shaman aware of anyone who would have built it. The ocean region is home to a massive body of water and rests on the western side of the island. The forest region is home to very thicks woods and is found on the eastern side of the island. The main settlement, which only contains two large houses and a massive tower, that of which is dedicated for Shu and acts as his Shrine. However, this shrine has been barricaded by a wall of intense gales since the island was lifted from the ground.
